This week’s #CookieKindness box was filled with Cheese Cookies and went to Glenda in Morrilton, Arkansas. She was nominated by Hannah G. an old waitressing buddy of mine who you may remember from Alabama’s post.
There is no First Taste After Bake video this week…I totally forgot to shoot the video before my Hubs grabbed the extra cookies to bring into work. Oops, #human!
On the bright side? This recipe only needs 6 ingredients, including the standard butter, sugar, and flour, so more like three ingredients. 😉
I’ll be honest, if you’ve made it this far without exiting out and saying, “NOPE, cheese cookies?! This sounds GUH-ROSS,” good for you for staying curious.
Don’t let the name fool you, cheese is referring to cream cheese not sharp cheddar. If you’d enjoy a rich shortbread cookie with nuts, go ahead and bookmark this page on your browser for a later day. You won’t be disappointed.
I know, I know, totally messing up my continuity by not having a First Taste After Bake episode. Believe me, I’m kicking my self in the pants.
These Cheese Cookies are delicate yet firm and rich with a decent crunch from the nuts. It’s a good cookie to bake if you’re wanting to switch it up at a pot luck, family BBQ, or bake sale.
Please remember these require a night in the freezer. Plan ahead! I did NOT read the recipe beforehand and got myself into a pickle, which led me to dropping the ball on my video.
Be sure to stop by and say hi via Instagram! You can find me @sjrandol and if you end up baking these cookies, I’d love to see them. Tag me or use the hashtag #CookieKindness.
